I remember getting so excited for the first day of December and opening the first window on my advent calendar. This morning the girls got to open their advent calendars - the
traditional ones with nativity scenes and NO Chocolates. We found an old toy soldier that looked
traditional and we finally decided to start a new tradition of "
the elf on the shelf." Is this a long island thing? An american thing? I don't really know but so far it is going down a treat and may end up being a new tradition.
